Question

Who pays for a repair done by a neighbour?

Who pays depends on the section a repair done by a neighbour falls under, on what the conditions name inside that section, and on the excess set out on the schedule. What the conditions do not name is not insured by silence: it is simply outside the section.

Work done as a favour still leaves a record, as long as somebody writes down what was done, when, and with which materials.
